What is the cell connection test for. When I press it, after the test, it says "failed to connect to the remote site". Does this mean it is not working"
Wore this for 5 days and my skin was itching and burning under the patch. I had to remove it and there were blisters and burns on my chest! Will be complaining to the doctor tomorrow!
One thing I’d like to know, as I’m on my second heart monitor from your group, is what in the world does purging mean? I have the patch on my chest and it is connected to the phone...sort of. It says “purging” and shows an image of the sensor and monitor receiving info from each other or something. I’m really confused. It took about 5 hours to charge the dang sensor and now I have to wait more time because it for whatever reason isn’t functioning.
My adhesive lasted 30 hours. SOB fell off and I'm trying to see how to add another adhesive. This video didn't cover removing old one and replacing it with a fresh one. Not too happy with this system when I see commercials on a two fingertip monitoring one. If it entails sticking one with adhesives then they need to come up with one that has Gorilla adhesive for sweaty old farts like myself.
They should also make this more clear for females and give suggestions on bigger breasted females on how to sleep. Because when I put it on the way they're suggesting the white electrode part near the sensor on my chest starts to bend when I sleep and then the cell phone says it can't pick up the sensor in the morning. Like how long was it off before I woke up? Instructions on how to sleep would be helpful. I replaced the patch and it happened again. It bent. I feel like it would mess up the results. Yet I got No call from anyone about an issue so I'm assuming it's fine? I feel this is flawed. I really hope even with having a bench part of the electrode that it still works.
I'm having this same problem now. Keeps says patch disconnected.. big boob problems I guess.
I actually asked to try this because of experiencing some events. I'm still working,so I thought this would be a good idea, no wires and all that. It's the end of summer when it's so hot and humid and not sweating is not an option. The thing keeps falling off. Very frustrating 😡👎.
They need to more clear on a few things: 1. Charging the monitor and the light on it. 2. When you power up the phone does it start over each time after you shut it off saving the info or is the previous data sent, and how often is it sent if you don't press anything ? 3. They don't provide enough adhesive strips..my box came with 3 for 15 days ! It feel apart after the 3rd day just walkin around with it on.
Never thought I had to wear this. It sucks to get old!
I'm not 24 hours in yet but i really hate it. I'm so itchy and where it's placed it's very noticeable and I've had so many people ask me about it or stare at me :(
I feel you. I had boils on my skin because i was allergic to the adhesive and the doctors didn’t do anything about it :/ and I’m super lucky i hate shirts that show more than my neck, lol.
I'm sure you look fine ⚘
I wore this for 6 hours I have second degree burns in my skin ! So terrible :(
@Joni Rivers-Patel I had it on for 3 days and it burned me too. It even scabbed.
I doubt that
Was it an actual burn?
Been wearing one for 8 days now.....22 to go. No problems yet. Although the patch area does itch a bit
CaninesBestFriend - Actually I ended up switching from a patch monitor (all one piece) to a different monitor (also made by BioTel) bc I was allergic to the adhesive on the first one. They sent me a whole new kit with an assortment of diff electrode patches to try out. Luckily one of them didn’t bother my skin very much. The trick is (for me anyway), when you apply new electrodes, stick them in a slightly different spot each time (just an inch or so in any direction-you want to keep them in the right place to be monitored) so no one spot gets too irritated, if that makes sense. I took the monitor off for good a couple of days ago, and I have some rashy spots but not too bad. Hope this helps
Did it leave your skin red and tender after removing it?
That itch is gonna get way worse, my friend. It’s the only downside of the thing (besides having to wear it at all). Hope you’re alright ❤️ Love from someone else swimming in this crazy soup.
This is my 2nd time wearing a 30 day monitor and I LOVE the MCOT patch. The last one I wore (about 4 months ago) had a bunch of wires hanging off me, the ECG leads were leaving open sores on my body from skin irritation, and I had to change out a bunch of AA batteries every single night and replace the ECG leads. This new monitor doesn't irritate my skin at all, has no wires hanging off me AND the charge lasts for nearly a full week (I'm on day 7 right now). Even the cell phone monitor that came with my patch lasts for about 3-4 days before I have to recharge it (but I usually charge it every other day to keep it above 50% charged).
Kenneth McClain so I can keep one patch on for about a week?
My mother just received hers tonight 3/29/2019 .... no monitor case was sent, just wanted to note in case we were charged for it later.
This is a great improvement over the CardioNet device I used a year ago. My only comment is that I can feel the device communicating and it mimics the sensation of palpitations. That makes me uneasy.
Do I take the sensor off before showering?
Nope, no showering for the next 31 days.. Just kidding I don't know. I just installed this thing on my chest. Seems to be working okay.. The beating heart on the display seems in sync with my heart beat. The batteries are both looking good and the cell-signal is 3 bars.. A message just came in "Thank you, Your ECG is now being monitored". When the sensor battery starts going low, the app will warn you, and the patch will have to be removed, so the sensor can be re-charged (with it's charging module) and that would be a good time to shower & re-shave your chest etc.. ;) I hope the sensor needs charging before 2019.. LOL..

how do i know if its working, is there a light that supposed to blink on the sensor?
It works great I myself have one on..due to heart palpitations.
Very informative! One thing to note is there should be a step to fully charge the sensor before inserting it into the patch because once inserted, there's no way to charge it. Maybe it's supposed to come fully charged? I charged both the sensor and monitor and the monitor sat on the Activating screen all night as I slept. The next morning, the sensor was at 83% and the monitor was at 50% before it was even activated.
Removing the sensor that is adhered to your chest is so painful! It would be so nice to be able to charge the sensor at the same time as when you are charging the monitor...without having to remove the sensor and layers of skin with it!!!
Too little info. on the video and in the booklet that tells how exactly to remove the patch that is sooo adhered to your skin... ouch!!!! and replacing the patch...on the SAME area.? Triple OUCH!!!!!! And how to charge the sensitor...Does it need charging at the same time as the monitor? So confusing as to the "cell connection test"; that sometimes doesn't connect. It would be so simple to be able to charge both at the same time.
